Cover-up and rework
An old tattoo hidden under a new design, or a faded one brought back to life.
- Starting price
- from €150
- Typical session
- 1 to 3 sessions, after a consultation
A cover-up is a design built around what is already there: darker areas, strong motifs and texture hide the old lines. A rework keeps the tattoo and redraws it: new lines, new shading, fresh colour.
What is included
- A consultation in person, to see the old tattoo in daylight
- An honest answer on what can be hidden, and how big it has to be
- A drawing made over a photo of your skin
- Sessions planned in advance
- Aftercare instructions in writing
Good to know
A cover-up is always bigger and darker than the old tattoo. If it is very dark, a few laser sessions first give far more freedom: we tell you when that is the case.
We say no when a cover-up would only swap one regret for another.
Aftercare, the same for everyone
Keep the film on
For as long as we told you: a few hours for a classic film, several days for a second-skin dressing.
Wash, dry, a thin layer
Clean hands, mild soap, pat dry with paper, then a thin layer of healing cream, two or three times a day.
No bath, sea, pool or sun
For about three weeks, until the skin has closed. After that, sunscreen keeps the lines sharp.
Do not scratch
The skin peels and itches: let it. Picking a scab takes the ink with it.
Tell us about your project
A few lines are enough: the idea, where on the body, roughly how big. Paste links to references if you have some. We answer within three working days with a price range and a consultation date.
Name an artist in your message if you already have one in mind.
Deposit from €50, deducted from the final price. Kept if you cancel less than 48 hours before.
